Cheshire Wood Wizard is dedicated to Sustainability...

Sustainability isn’t just a buzzword at Cheshire Wood Wizard...

It’s a core principle woven into every project I undertake.  I’m dedicated to helping you make eco-friendly choices that not only beautify your garden but also contribute positively to our planet.  Here’s how I sprinkle a bit of green magic in every corner of your outdoor space:

“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now”

Planting Future Woodlands

For every project I complete, a new tree roots itself into the earth. Partnering with the National Trust’s Woodland Creation Programme, I’m supporting them to help plant 20 million trees by 2030. Each tree planted is a step towards a greener tomorrow, offering a natural shield against climate change and creating thriving habitats for wildlife.

Cutting Down Carbon

Every piece of wood has a story, and I aim to ensure none goes to waste unnecessarily. While not all materials can be reused, I make a concerted effort to give excess wood a new lease on life with local allotments and community projects. If you’re into DIY projects and could use some wood, give me a shout! I also focus on minimising my carbon footprint by recommending environmentally friendlier options and sourcing materials from local suppliers. This approach supports local businesses and helps reduce the travel emissions associated with my work.

Helping Hedgehogs Hustle

Your new fence could be a lifeline for local wildlife. I proudly offer the option to include hedgehog highway holes in garden fences, ensuring our spiky friends can roam freely and safely. This small feature can make a big difference, connecting habitats and helping hedgehogs thrive.

Sustainable Timber

My choice of timber is not just about aesthetics – it’s about integrity and respect for our planet. I’m committed to using only sustainably sourced timber for all projects. This means each post and beam is selected not only for its beauty and durability but also for its environmental credentials. Partnering with suppliers who share a commitment to sustainable forestry ensures that the timber I use helps maintain the health of the world’s forests. It’s all about building beautiful, lasting outdoor spaces that you can feel good about – ethically sourced and expertly shaped to fit your new space.
